ONE | early life
Adopted as a sickly child by Terrence Rhapsodos, a wealthy landlord, Genesis grew up knowing only disapproval from his parents who never seemed to be impressed with what he did. At ten years old he pioneered a way to transport Banora White apple juice but this was shunned away by his parents.TWO | leaving home
Eventually Genesis became tired of the scorn and disdain from his parents and ran away to Midgar to enlist in Shinra's military, aiming to make a real name for himself.THREE | the rise to fame
Genesis showed remarkable promise as he rose through the ranks in SOLDIER, eventually becoming the illustrious Crimson Commander and finding camaraderie with Angeal Hewley and Sephiroth.FOUR | fall from grace
When a training session goes awry and Genesis is hit in the shoulder by Angeal's shattered blade, this kickstarts his degradation and leads him down an incredibly dark path. At the end of it though, he is finally granted freedom and a purpose by Minerva.FIVE | awakening

Before Sparkie became who he was now, he first fell into the Sky Kingdom in the Golden Wasteland area, found by Arashiko of the Shardslayer Clan. He was then taken in and given the nickname 'Little Ember' by the leader, Izuki.TWO | the shardslayer clan
Trained in the ways of the Shardslayer Clan, a clan who was actively fighting the effects of shardfall corruption within the Sky Kingdom, he learned how to defend himself. Alex was studying mathematics and number theory at a university in Washington. On one night she had a horrific dream about fending off zombies, hearing an odd voice calling to her. Waking up, she hears the phone ringing and answers the call, discovering from Inspector Legrasse that her grandfather. Dr. Edward Roivas, had been killed.TWO | the tome of eternal darkness
The police investigation into who killed her grandfather offered no answers. Instead, Alex took matters into her own hands, going through her grandfather's belongings and discovering the Tome of Eternal Darkness. Reading this, this was where she discovered about the fight against the darkness for 2000 years, including some of her own ancestors. It's through the Tome that Alex learned that her grandfather was actually killed under orders from Pious Augustus following what he did to wipe out the inhabitants of the ancient city of Ehn'gha, which lies beneath the mansion.THREE | averting devastation

Garcian began life as Emir Parkreiner, raised to be a pawn of Japanese imperialism and to overthrow the United States government. However, sexual advances from his mother would lead him to eventually kill her. He then entered Coburn Elementary School to continue his training. At 13 his mental instability led him on a murderous rampage where he killed many people, including an avatar of Harman Smith whom he absorbed into his being.TWO | hotel union and the killer7
Emir rebelled against his Japanese creators by working for the United States, eventually being hired to take down the killer7, led by another avatar of Harman Smith and former cop Dan Smith. He kills each assassin in turn before confronting Harman on the top floor. Realisation dawns on him and he attempts to commit suicide from the hotel roof, but the attempt fails and he is left with amnesia and dissociative personality disorder. From then on he becomes Garcian Smith, leader of the killer7. Now believing the United States government to be absolute and accepting Harman Smith as his master, Garcian is assigned a sponsor, Christopher Mills. With this, he's taken on his role to face against the crisis caused by Kun Lan and the Heaven Smiles.THREE | rediscovery
While directing the killer7, Garcian goes to Ulmeyda City to confront Andrei Ulmeyda, who blew up a stadium on live TV. While heading there he meats an old man who comments that they don't get many black folk in this town. This ongoing crisis eventually culminates in Mills being assassinated and replaced. In too deep, Garcian goes rogue and does his own research, leading him back to Coburn Elementary School (where he's been before but doesn't remember). Rediscovering the body of Harman that Emir had stashed in the school safe, that reopens his third eye and he confronts Benjamin Keane and Greg Nightmare where he learns the truth of what happened. Then, he allows the Black Smiles to obliterate the other personae under his control before picking up the Golden Gun and finishing off the last one.
